As a wedding photographer, every couple I work with is unique and special. However, Kenny and Orquidia’s elopement in Boston City Hall in October was particularly memorable. They had already taken their engagement photos with me last year at their alma mater, UMass Lowell, so I was thrilled to be invited to capture their intimate ceremony before their big celebration in the Dominican Republic this summer.
Despite the rainy weather, Kenny and Orquidia made the most of this day (if you couldn’t tell from their contagious smiles). We started with their ceremony Boston City Hall, and then took photos around the city’s historic downtown district. The misty rain added an ethereal quality to the photos and captured the coziness of their celebration.
Afterward, we took advantage of a parking garage that offered breathtaking views of the city skyline. Kenny and Orquidia were incredibly easy-going and a pleasure to work with, which made the photos even more special. Their love for each other was evident in every moment, from the way they looked at each other to their playful and tender gestures.
As a photographer, my goal is always to capture the essence of each couple and their unique love story. For Kenny and Orquidia, that meant capturing the moments of joy, tenderness, and laughter that filled their elopement day. It was a privilege to be a part of their love story, and I look forward to capturing more memories for them in the future.
Kenny and Orquidia’s elopement was an intimate and beautiful celebration of their love for each other. While their wedding in the Dominican Republic is sure to be a grand affair, their elopement was a reminder that the most important thing on their wedding day is each other.
If you’re considering eloping in Boston and are interested in Boston City Hall as a venue, you can find more information on their website about how to obtain a marriage license and schedule your ceremony. They offer both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, and you can choose to have your ceremony performed by a Justice of the Peace or a member of the clergy.
